Fumiko Eguchi is acclaimed as one of the most prominent pedagogues in Japan.

She beginning her piano studies with Susumu Nagai, she has subsequently studied at Toho School of Music with Jun Date. She continued her studies in Europe and has performed numerous concerts in solo, chamber music, accompanying, and with orchestras.

He promotes many composers and artists, dedicates herself to discovering young talents as president of the Yamaha Master Class founded in 1988.

She is always required to hold masterclasses and conferences in Asia, Europe, and America.

Since 2010, Fumiko is a faculty Director at Ishikawa Music Academy. Many of her students are prizewinners of prestigious international competitions including Hamamatsu, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky Competition.

Her contributions in music education extend widely in various fields and involve books editing and publishing, conducting group lessons for students, adults and teachers, and other activities.

He is a jury member in many national and international competitions such as: Beethoven, Casagrande, Dublin, Hanoi, Liszt and Seoul.

Currently, she is a Professor at Showa University of Music (Piano Department), Professor at Piano Art Academy, Director of Showa Music and Ballet Studio and Director of Music Education Research Center

She is a Board Member of Piano Teachers’ National Association of Japan and is a Senior Board Member of the Executive Committee of International Chopin Piano Competition in ASIA.
